THE CREANEY'S

Unfortunately not a lot of information is known about the Creaney's as they originate (as far as I know) from Ireland.

I have onlymanaged to go as far back as my great great grandparents: GEORGE CREANEY and ELIZABETH HALL.

GEORGE was born in 1824 and died in 1918 in Dundalk, Eire.

GEORGE and ELIZABETH had 5 children:

JOHN (born 7 Mar 1857, Keady, Co. Armagh)
SARAH JANE (born 1859)
MARGARET (born 1862)
GEORGE ALEXANDER (born 1 Mar 1866, Barrowstown, Louth)
WILLIAM THOMAS (born 4 Jun 1873, Falmore Roche, Dundalk) ~ my great grandfather



MARRIAGES OF ABOVE:

JOHN married FLORENCE MARY GEAR (aka POLLY) in 1884 in Pancras, London & had 4 children: Edith Elizabeth, Florence Mary, George Alexander & Eleanor (see below picture)

SARAH JANE married ? BLACKBURN & had 2 children: Daisy & Lillie

MARGARET married JAMES THOMPSON in 1887 and had one known child: John

WILLIAM THOMAS married ELLEN WHITE (see White page) 31 Oct 1904 in Wickham Bishop, Essex & had 4 children: Charles Edward, Evelyn Lucy (twin), Nellie Norah (twin) and Muriel Elizabeth.

This is ELLEN CREANEY (nee White) (in the picture above with her family) whose mother was SUSANNAH PULLIN& father CHARLES WHITE

Note about GEORGE ALEXANDER: We have reason to believe that he emigrated to the USA in the late 1800's as relatives have been to see family members in Ireland in the past.  Despite numerous enquiries descendants still have not come forward.  The search continues........
